The pelgrims route to Santiago de Compostella runs from all corners of Europe and even from North Africa to Santiago de Compostella and Finisterre. The Ruta via de la Plata is also known as the Silver Route or the Route. The Via de la Plata (originally a Roman road that connected Itálica and Asturica Augusta) begins in Sevilla and runs to the North through Zamora, Cáceres and Salamanca.
